This website currently has no user accounts, login, checkout, subscriptions, newsletter, analytics, advertising trackers, non-essential cookies, or contact forms. It is a static informational and distribution page. The technical data needed to deliver and secure a website may still be processed by its hosting and public status infrastructure.

2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the public Earth Economy Simulator website and its static legal and distribution pages. It does not cover Steam, GOG, itch.io, a future account service, a payment provider, the game runtime, or another linked service. Those services publish or require their own privacy information.
3. Data processed when you visit
Technically necessary access data
When a browser requests a web resource, the hosting infrastructure may process technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status, transferred bytes, referrer, browser/user-agent information, and operating-system information. This is used to deliver the site, detect abuse, maintain availability, and investigate security incidents. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Access logs are retained only for as long as needed for these purposes and applicable legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised. The exact hosting provider and its retention configuration must be confirmed as part of deployment and kept aligned with this policy.
Public operational-status request
If an authenticated public advisory endpoint is configured, the landing page makes a credential-free HTTPS request to that endpoint to display an informational operational status. The request can expose ordinary technical request data to the host serving that endpoint. No account identifier, payment data, launcher credential, or game save is sent. If the endpoint is not configured, the page does not make this request.
Downloads
Unconfigured downloads remain disabled. If a public installer link is later configured and you follow it, the destination host or distributor may process technical request data and apply its own privacy policy. The website itself does not receive payment credentials or grant an entitlement by displaying a link.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the address and the information you choose to include so that we can answer, provide support, or handle a legal request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request is pre-contractual or contractual, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for ordinary support and correspondence. We retain the correspondence only for as long as needed to handle the request and any related legal obligations.
4. Cookies, storage, and tracking
The current website does not set cookies, use local storage, use tracking pixels, run advertising technology, or run an analytics service. It does not provide a login or an online form. Your browser may cache ordinary static files as part of normal web operation.
5. Recipients and external services
Technical data may be processed by the hosting/CDN provider and, when configured, by the separate host for the public operational-status projection. We use such providers only to the extent necessary to operate the requested service and do not sell personal data.
The site links to Insightformer, email, EU consumer-redress information, and future distributor pages. When you follow an external link or open an external service, that service becomes responsible for its own processing. Review its privacy information before submitting data.
6. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

7. Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures for this static site and review the public configuration before enabling new services. We may update this policy when the website, hosting, legal requirements, or processing purposes change. The version date above identifies the applicable revision.
